The Most Popular Sneakers from the Travis Scott x Nike Collection

Travis Scott has been one of the hottest commodities in sneakers, streetwear and music for the past few years.

The 28-year-old rapper/producer hailing from Houston, Texas began his career when he published his first full length project, a mixtape titled Owl Pharaoh in May 2013.

Fast forward a few years, Travis would drop his critically acclaimed album Astro World in August 2018.

During this time, Travis began his partnership with Nike, bringing innovative ideas to classic models along with a consistent stream of clothing collaborations with various brands and tour merch.

In December 2017, Travis Scott and Nike released the Travis Scott Air Force One Low “AF100”. This pair of Air Force 1’s comes with a white upper and gum outsole.

It features a removable swoosh and three replacement swooshes each with their own distinct design. Custom lace locks inspired by Travis’ grill and reflective binding on all of the shoes paneling make sure these shoes shine on your feet at all times.

The next eagerly anticipated Travis Scott and Nike collaboration dropped in May 2018. The Jordan 4 dubbed “Cactus Jack”, was inspired by the Houston Oilers (a retired NFL franchise).

Travis opted for a light blue suede upper, red lining, white midsole and black outsole. The sneaker also features the Cactus Jack and Jumpman branding on the heel tab. Blue freckles on the Jordan 4’s iconic wings completes this sneaker.

In August 2018, Travis and Nike returned to the Air Force 1 Low to create the “Sail” colorway. This pair shares many features as its predecessor including the custom lace lock and reflective binding. While having a nearly identical design, this new rendition trades the classic white upper for a slightly off-white sail color. As the demand for Travis Scott sneakers grew, Nike proceeded to make this colorway more widely available.

In May 2018, the most recent and arguably most anticipated sneaker to come from Travis and Nike finally had its global release. After being teased for months, seen worn by Adam Levine during the Super Bowl LIII half time show, and multiple shock drops, the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 was here.

This Jordan 1 features dark brown suede paneling, a hidden pocket in the wings paneling and Cactus Jack branding on the tongue and side paneling. What really sets this Jordan 1 apart from the rest is the oversized and reversed swoosh on the side paneling of each foot. La Flame has certainly raised the bar for future collaborations with this iconic pair of sneakers.

Travis Scott has certainly left his mark on the streetwear industry and he shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. Rumors of future collaborations on a Jordan 6 and Low Top Jordan 1 have already begun swirling around the internet.

All we know for sure is that we are extremely excited to see what else Travis and Nike have waiting in store for us.
